BLOG BOOK AWARDS VOTE!

So, an idea came to me a few minutes ago when surfing the web for the top books for girls to read(As I'm wondering what to read next). My idea was that we do our own book awards on this blog! What do you think? All you have to do is copy & paste the list below and add the books you wish to vote for. The book awards are based on books for girls no younger than 10 and the categories you can vote for are in a different font.

T+C's(Had to do it properly)- You can choose any book you like as long as you would recommend it for ages no younger than 10. Also, it has to fit in with the category you are voting for. You can  vote in ALL categories or just the ones you fancy voting in! It's all up to you! Voting closes on Friday, June 15th and if needed I will extend the time or do another round of votes(short list)!

    Best series... Camden Town Tales - Hilary Freeman
    Best female character... Jenni from A Year Without Autumn, by Liz Kessler
    Best book that is now a film... Storm breaker (again!!)
    Best book for under 10's... HORRID HENRY!! (My guilty pleasure.. LOL!!)
    Best Female Author... Hilary Freeman, I LOVE all her books, especially Camden Town Tales, she writes cleverly and BRILLIANTLY,and she is also LOVELY in person!!
    Best book in the 'Hunger Games' series... I've only read some of the first one... BUT I LOVED IT!!!

    Best Adventure Novel: Department 19 by Will Hill (so maybe it's a thriller but still ;D)
    Best 'Pull on your Heart Strings' Novel: The Year the Gypsies Game by Linzi Glass
    Most exciting Novel: Divergent by Veronica Roth
    Novel that left you in suspense: Gone (and its sequels) by Michael Grant
    Best series(More than 1 book): Harry Potter! Pffftt, what'd you exPECT?
    Best female character(Please add what book she's from): Cassandra from I Capture the Castle
    Best male character(Please add book): Skulduggery Pleasant (from the Skulduggery Pleasant series, funnily enough)
    Best book that is now a film: Girl With a Pearl Earring by Tracey Chevalier
    Best book for under 10's: The Pure Dead Magic series by Debi Gliori


    Best Female Author(Please add reasons for this vote): Siobhan Dowd. She only wrote four books before dying of terminal cancer, but two of them are Very Close to the top of my Favourite Books list. Her work is so powerful, it's so sad that she died before she could share anything else with us :_(

    Best Book(Please add reasons): No. Too hard. I can't. Here are a few (I've only given short reasons cause it'd take too long):
    Coram Boy by Jamila Gavin. Amazing. Powerful. JUST SO GOOD.
    Girl With a Pearl Earring by Tracey Chevalier. Amaaazing book: really interesting and and powerful. A historical but not dusty; the characters are really relatable.
    Bog Child by Siobhan Dowd: So powerful and exciting.
    How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff: a beautiful book.
    The Gone series by Michael Grant: sooo exciting and excellent!!
    Harry Potter series by JK Rowling: yeah there are no words.





    Best book in the 'Hunger Games' series: I...er..um..I...IT'S TOO HARD!! Probably Catching Fire. I think.

    2. Thank you for commenting & voting! I've seen a lot of 'The Girl with the Pearl Earring so I think I may just HAVE to read it! Really curious now! I know all of these comments are long but don't worry I love to read about what my fellow bloggers enjoy! I think my favorite book in the Hunger Games is the first one, even though I cried in Catching Fire :O
