Stand Up To Cancer!

This is a post dedicated to Stand Up To Cancer.

Did you know that 1 in 3 people will get Cancer in their life time? With over 200 different types of Cancer and thousands of sub-types. This is why we all need to Stand Up To Cancer. With the new technology that is available and new treatments being tested every day we need to do everything we can to keep it going. Each day we get closer to finding a cure and with every penny raised they can carry on trying out new treatments and paying for the medicines to be made. Cancer can effect everyone of us, and in most cases it already has. Channel 4 is supporting Stand Up to Cancer and is trying to raise awareness. Along with this Taylor Swift has released a song called 'Ronan' for the cause, about a young boy called Ronan that died of Cancer a few days before his fourth birthday. Taylor Swift found out about Ronan after his mother started up a blog on Blogger about it. She never met Ronan, but this song will help so many people Stand Up to Cancer.

Everyone can be effected by Cancer and so many of us have already experienced what it feels like to be effected by the disease.

I stand up to Cancer, do you?

  1. I stand up to cancer without a doubt.
On Monday evening my grandfather on my dad's side passed away of cancer. He had it before and it was treated but we knew he wasn't going to make it. I really appreciate the fact you posted about it.
    Thank you Sophie. -Abbie.

    1. I'm so sorry about your loss Abbie, I hope you are okay. I have experienced Cancer in my family three times with both my Great Nan and Great Grandad losing the fight to Cancer with my Nan beating it only last Summer. Cancer is a horrible experience, to watch someone you love suffer. I stand up to Cancer for this reason, to find a cure.
      Thank you too Abbie.

    2. Aww thank you so much for your kind words Sophie.
I'm so sorry that you had to watch your three loved ones experience this pain.
I'm okay but it was traumatic event. I was at my grandparent's house yesterday and something felt mmissing and empty. He was very kind, he was a real gentlemen and was always up for a laugh.
But life goes on and he'd want me to enjoy my life.
-Abbie. P.S - I'm standing up to cancer all the way.
