THAT INCREDIBLE OPENING CEREMONY!

For those of you who hadn't guessed by now this post is about the Olympic Opening Ceremony in London last night! It was incredible! You just have to think how much effort and time the volunteers and everyone else must have had to put into this. It was slow starting but it just got better and better! It took you on a journey of British History at the start, which, with all the special effects looked amazing but I couldn't understand some of it. I was wondering how people in other countries would know what was going on. The best part was that it brought in comedy and only the Brits could do this. Who else has the Queen and James Bond acting at Buckingham Palace along with her pet Corgi's(They are so cute!). Their big entrance was the best, they PARACHUTED out of a plane into the stadium! On, did I mention MR BEAN was there?

The Queen's entry with James Bond 007!

Yay, Mr Bean!

After all of this, they went on to celebrate one of my and your BIGGEST loves, English Literature(It was basically a celebration of British books!) J.K Rowling was there with a celebration of Harry Potter along with Mary Poppins's flying through the air! I mean where else can you see something like this? They also had what I describe at a time line of music! My mum and dad knew all the words to the songs and what they were(I will admit I was singing along too) and by the time they got to the middle I knew them all! Dizzie Rascal was amazing along with the special effects on the house in the middle of the Olympic Stadium. It was also really inspirational to see the patients of Great Ormand Street Hospital there!

'Inspire a Generation' that's exactly what they did! They had young athletes light the cauldron which was the most amazing sight all night. I did stay up till 12.45pm to see this and I'm exhausted today but it was worth it! Only boring part was when they paraded all the countries in the Olympics around the arena. There are 206 countries in the games so it took about an hour for them all to go around it. It did remind me of the Hunger Games though. When they parade all the tributes(different countries in this case) around the city circle, all dressed in costumes!!

So, I'll end on Happy 30th Olympia and May the odds be ever in your favor!
