Silence

A dark poem:

Silence.
That is all that surrounds me.
Cowering in the shadows,
There is only the darkness.

Breathe.
A pain in my chest,
I try to take a breath,
But the intake is piercing.

Pain.
I cry out,
There is nobody to hear,
Nobody to help me in these final pleas

Lost
I can't see,
Nowhere to go,
Or nothing to see,

Thoughts.
There's no need to think.
No need to feel.
But it's still haunting me.

Love.
No need for this,
The cause of the pain,
The most worrying thing.

Death.
Is this now the end,
With nothing left,
Hold on.

Memory.
Are there any left?
To think of now,
To remember.

Finale,
The climax of this,
It will all come to an end,
In Silence

  2. I'm not very good at writing poetry myself so I can always appreciate someone who is good at it. You seem to have a particular talent for it, actually! I find it very easy to understand where you're coming from! I really like this piece! You should be very proud of it!
